An equitable workplace is one that provides each employee with access to the support, resources, treatment, and opportunities that they individually need to succeed in the workplace. This panel of disabled lawyers provide a brief overview of what equity means in the legal workplace. They also share some of the inequities they have encountered because of their disabilities and suggest some ways that these systemic barriers can be addressed.
On February 7, 2023, the LGBTQ+ Bar Association’s New Lawyer Division hosted this webinar to offer guidance for LGBTQ+ attorneys during their first ten years of their legal career. Our engaging panel reflected on their experiences and provided suggestions about how to successfully navigate your queer and intersecting identities in the workplace.
