We are thrilled to launch our first-ever virtual midyear program aimed at connecting small firms and local nonprofits with LGBTQ+ law students interested in employment opportunities. Taking place on March 11, 2023, this virtual event will provide smaller firms and local organizations the opportunity to recruit and network with LGBTQ+ members of the legal community. Please note that this event is separate from Lavender Law®, the LGBTQ+ Bar’s flagship in-person event each year. Unlike Lavender Law®, which holds the largest legal diversity career fair in the country, with many participating firms being from the AM200, all recruiting law firms at this virtual event will have 75 or fewer attorneys. We are excited to launch an entirely virtual career fair, hosting smaller firms, as well as local nonprofits and government agencies from medium markets around the country.

It’s Going To Be OK! Tips for How to Secure a Legal Job
Are you heading into your last few months of law school and don’t yet have a job lined up for after you graduate and take the Bar? Are you trying to decide between Big Law and another career path? Are you a 1 or 2L with mid-level grades, and not at all sure what you should be doing this summer and how to put your best foot forward? Never fear, this panel is for you! Come hear from LGBTQ+ lawyers with varied career paths, including several who graduated over the last few years and an expert Career Counselor. Our panelists will discuss how they made decisions about summer jobs, internships and externships, and ultimate employment; they’ll review tips for how to stay calm about job placement and find the right fit as graduation is coming up, as well as how to decide where to take the Bar. You won’t want to miss this candid conversation – bring your questions and concerns!
